Need opinions!!
I recently got a new Honda, 95 Civic EX with Vtec and a Cold Air intake(jdm) from my Dads friend for $500 he gave me a huge discount because they have known each other for an odd 21 years. anyways...
My friend has a 98 civic ex with just a KNN air filter... i'm not sure if this car has vtec becuase it says it no where... we both has d 16s his car is rodded becuase he's retarted and always floors it no matter what... the car has a total of 76000 miles on it and he has put on about 7000 of those rodding...
The thing is my car has 182000 miles on the body and about 100000 on the engine(told friend that it's all on the engine), it hasn't been rodded to bad, except when i test drove it, it pretty quick... anyways
Who do you think would win the race?
Does my friends civic have vtec? It has no specs what so ever and it doesn't sound like it does...
Did the 98 come without it or was it special?

welcome to the forum. wondering how you got a 1.6 in a 95 civic, specifications for the 95 shows 1.5 unless its a euro car, your friends 98 is a 1.6 w/ 106 hp. if you are sure you have a 1.6 w/vtec your car has a better chance to get up front.
And make sure you do all your racing on a legal race track, they have insurance and access to medic if you mess up. If you're on the public road, no one may be around to help you and if you get caught, in some states, that will be the last time you see your ride.
