Default New to Honda.. and cars in general..

Hi all!

Just wanted to say hi.. my name's Jennilyn, and I just got an '08 Accord EX-L last week. And just like the title says.. it's the first Honda in the family.. aaand also my first attempt to start learning more about cars (sad, I know). I know you all have years of experience so I'm hoping I can learn a few things... I wouldn't even know where to start (I'm also talking about general car knowledge) Anyone up for being a mentor? :P

I'm coming off an '01 Jetta - it died on me about a week ago - miss it, but loving the new car I live in northern NJ.. guess that's about it, trying to keep this short and sweet. I unfortunately joined the masses and got laid off about 2-3 weeks ago, so I'll probably be poking around here a lot..

Nice to meet you all, and apologies in advance for all the stupid questions I know I'll be asking!

welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy your new ride. Suggest getting a hayes manual, and read up on standard maintenance, also read your oweners manual. This will get you far ahead of many honda owners. If your dealership gives a owners conference meeting or luncheon, go to it. Ask them if they have on. My dealership had one and we got to see the service dept and asked all the questions we wanted including mod of a new car.go to d-a-p parts and read on their trouble shooting and repair hints. Lots ot learn and it Free!!
