1999 Honda Odyssey Won't Start
Hi all, I have a 1999 honda odyssey, it was running fine, then all of a sudden I parked it home, and it wouldnt start in the morning.
and it has been like this for over a week, I try starting it everyday, but it just cranks and cranks, I booted it with another car, and still the same thing.
when i turn the ignition on, I can hear the fuel pump turn on, The weather is pretty cold, and the van was running very low on gas the night before, but I did add gas from a galon I had, and still no start.
I scanned it for codes, no codes, doesnt seem like it is igniting the gas.
any ideas?
Thanks in advance

welcome to the forum. check your distributor/coil, be sure you have fuel pressure knowing the pump is pumping, check the conditon of your spark plugs and wires, then check the relay. when was your last tune up? what is your milage?

it has about 125000 miles on it. I havent checked the coils or anything.
It was running fine for the longest time with no problems, and no check engine lights, no stored codes on it now either.
what relay are you talking about?
I was reading something about an imobilizer, but I doubt that would be my problem b/c all its missing is the spark.
I think it has somehting to do with it runing low on gas and the weather was really cold that night, and has been below zero ever since.
Thanks in advance

relay would be the main relay. when you turn your key to on prior to start, do all the idiot lights light up? if not, it may be your ignition switch. if the lights come on, then need to check for coil/distributor due to no spark. Also since your fuel pump this working, sounds to me that the main relay is working.

Yup the Lights do come on when i turn the ignition on.
I havent tried to start in like a week, the weather is supposed to be warm today, so I am going ot try it again.
If it doesnt start then I am going to take the coils out and check the spark plugs.
thanks
