I came home Sunday afternoonn to a partially down right front window. After taking it apart, the upper cable had pulled out of the window slide (which allowed the window to drop). After further dis-assembly of the regulator motor and cable reel, I found the cables pretty badly mangled on the spool. Does anobody know if this is a common problem and is there a recall or service bulletin on this? Or did somebody attempt a break-in by prying the window down and breaking the cable slide (and I mangled the cables by attemting to operate it)?
I am surprised that the whole regulator assembly is only $85 from the dealer. I was expecting more.

to the several sites checked, 03 ody had 2 recalls trans and fuel storage system (fuel tank) the window regulator/cable reel happens on many different types of hondas, not from trying to steal the car through the window, just a weak spot. i have read on many damaged reels and regulators/motors
