Default 2006 Odyssey - oil fluctuating

I hope someone can help me with an issue that I am having with my 2006 Odyssey and the oil fluctuating on the dip stick. Here is the situation I checked my oil in the van and it was at the right level on the dip stick, then go out and drive for about half hour or so and check it after I come home, it is below the level it should be at (almost saying empty). Where did the oil go? Then check later and it's back to where it should be. I am confused! I have checked the tail pipe and it was dry, checked spark plugs and they were tan brown(no oil build up on plugs), replaced pvc valve, checked the coolant and it was fine and also did a slug clean flush. Checked for oil leaks underneath and there is nothing. Has anyone ever had this situation happen?? What can I do??
Thank you

welcome in,how long a wait was it from when you shut the engine off,it takes up to 20 minutes before all the oil returns to the crank case, thickness of oil and outside temp effect it also.as long as your oil light on the dash doesn't come on after you start it and stay on I wouldn't worry about it.

Thank you for your reply, Yes after the 20 minutes, the oil did return and all seems fine. So, no oil light coming on .... no worries on my side any more. Thank you again
