Default loose starter

Hey guys,I was in the mountains camping last week ,I have an F-350 crewcab dually Diesel that I pull a 35' camper with,we got all set up and decided to go into town for groceries, well the starter sounded a little funny,we made several stops before getting to the grocery store and every time we started the truck it sounded worse,Well I decided to make one more stop at a parts house to get a starter,I knew I had enough tools to change it out at the camp site,I bought one for $230.00 and at the site drove up on a couple of blocks of wood for added clearance, well when I got under the truck to check what size wrenches I needed I found the starter hanging by one bolt and the other bolt was laying on the frame rail,I have no idea how it started the truck the last time, well I put the bolts back in and tightened them up and now it starts like new,got my money back on the new starter I didn't need and all is well.Crazy things happen all the time.
