Can itermittently starts
2006 Pilot EX 2 WD
173,000
Brand New Battery
Brand New Genuine Honda Starter
Cleaned all corrosion from cables to battery.
The car doesn't always start. Sometimes it starts right up, and sometimes it does not. When it does not, there are still lights on dash, but there is no cranking noise. I have a brand new battery (even though the old one was 3 yrs old and still 14.2 V), a brand new genuine honda starter, and I cleaned all cables for corrosion. Been going on for months, despite these things I've done.
If I pump the gas it will eventually (sometimes) start.
I'm stumped. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you.

Sometimes there is a build up of junk inside of the ignition switch that can cause this.
Sometimes the corrosion is in the ignition wire at the starter solenoid
Sometimes the chassis ground needs the contacts to be cleaned
Sometimes the starter is beginning to fail
Sometimes the contacts on the starter cut relay are burnt
Sometimes the park/neutral safety switch is faulty
Sometimes there is a short in the wiring or open in the wiring
Suggestions , ... I have plenty of them.
But, I have no answers
