Engine Light - P0351 - In Shop Four Times
I would like to get thoughts on whether my car is a lemon. 2019 Honda Pilot Touring with 60,000 miles on it.
First Time: In May all engine lights come on and the car is sluggish. They say it's "code P0351 and No. 1 cylinder ignition coil circuit malfunction." The service department "swapped" the coil packs and the readings looked normal. I picked the vehicle up, it worked fine.
Second Time: 48 hours later all the lights came on again. This time they ordered a new coil pack and installed it a few days later. Picked it up. Worked fine.
Third Time: 48 hours later the issue happened again. Took the car back in, they said that this time it needed a whole new computer. Waited a week for the part, it finally came in and worked fine.
Fourth Time: The new computer worked for two months, and I thought it was really fixed. So disappointed. Now they are saying it needs a relay circuit board but the computer is fine. This part won't be in for SIX weeks. No loaner since it's out of warranty.
So now I'm out of a car for six weeks and I'm wondering - even when the part comes in and it's "fixed," should I just move onto something else? I have two kids I carry around a lot to soccer practices, etc., and I wanted something reliable. I'm feeling very disappointed in Honda. I'm wondering if there is something fundamentally wrong with the car and wondering if it's a lemon. Thanks for your thoughts.
