Lack of customer care, poor quality
My 2009 pilot EXL with 150000 miles on it had a liftgate issue (rusting out where the crome meets the liftgate). Three years ago Honda shared the cost of replacing this with me but the rust process has started again. Honda recommended a local body shop for the repair 3 years ago (someone they use). Now no one wants to take responsibility for this poor Honda design. The dealer Rick Roush in Medina sent me to the body shop, the body shop said it was Honda (they used Honda parts and specs). I filed a complaint with Honda corporate and was told there is nothing they can do since the car is out of warranty, no kidding really they liftgate rusts in less than 3 years. I will be selling both of my Hondas and buying another brand.
