Original Owner here of a 2000 Accord, and contributing member to the 'Honda Forum'.

This 6th gan Accord (below) is, true to its reputation, the epitome of reliability. It's been an excellent car and well-maintained by us. This Accord transported both our children from their birth and every year as they grew. They were tethered into its backseat for the first few years, then each migrated to the front passenger seat when they had passed the age where an airbag deployment wouldn't kill them. Eventually both kids took their turn behind its wheel and learned to drive with this car. It transported its occupants safely and dependably for tens of thousands of cumulative miles for over twenty years as our family of four grew up around it. The only modification: we replaced its audio system to better render Metallica in full fidelity. And we've always kept up its maintenance. But it's time to let it go.

Despite this, the transmission is showing the telltale--and quite common for the Honda B7XA--signs of trouble. So with much reservation, we've decided to sell our venerable daily driver in favor of a more recent vintage Accord. A B7XA tranny swap is not a horribly expensive job--costs typically start around $2000 (remanufactured transmission, plus removal and replacement labor), but that number varies wildly based on all the pertinent factors. Apart from that smallish detail, condition-wise, this car has collected twenty years worth of smallish dings, dents and aesthetic accouterments, but no dents of major significance. The interior is in pretty good shape. This car is/was garage kept. This Accord will likely last forever with the usual scheduled maintenance and upkeep, and a transmission swap. and we believe with a new transmission and continued regular maintenance, this specific Accord will last another twenty years!

If you've read this far, our Accord is still available. Of course there's a bunch more to say about the car, so to the genuinely interested individual, I'm more than willing to engage in a detailed conversation about the history of this car and provide any images you request. Please PM me if you'd like to discuss this car.
