Default 2022 Engine misfire

I have a brand new 2022 Honda Ridgeline with 1400 miles on it. The engine hesitated when making a left hand turn and shortly thereafter the check engine light started blinking. The manual indicates this is likely an engine misfire and it was recommended by the Honda service people that the vehicle should be towed to the nearest Honda service center. The check engine light remained flashing until I shut the engine off. The check engine light did not come back on after I restarted the engine, following a 15 min rest period. The truck was towed and today the service center called and said they did not see any codes in the history. They told me to pick up my truck and everything should be fine. Needless to say, this is a bit concerning for a new vehicle to have engine problems. Has anyone else experienced something similar? If yes, how was it resolved?

If you did not lose power by disconnecting the battery the PCM would have the misfire codes logged and if it did not log the failure, well that is a failure in itself. If this happens again record it.

Document the fault.
Keep records.
Make sure the dealership understands you know about the lemon law in your state.
This will help if you need to bring action to get a good vehicle.
Lets hope it is only a one time hiccup.
