Default auto engine idle stop?

When I went to settings I found the "auto eng idle stop guidance" and it had two choices: on and off. Is this supposed to disable the idle stop function? It doesn't seem to make any difference on my Black Edition.

Anybody know what the purpose of the auto eng idle stop guidance in settings is?

auto engine idle stop can be turned off on some vehicles at the rear of the trans shift by wire control unit. I could not advise you where due to i don't own a vehicle with the unit.

Thanks for the reply, but that doesn't answer the questions

Press the auto idle stop button once after starting your engine. The function will continue to be deactivated during your drive. But when you turn off engine the auto idle stop function will automatically revert to the in position. If you want it off you have to turn it off each time you drive.
