Hello, I purchase a 2012 CR V EXL a year ago, checked it out pretty good and paid way too much for it but it only had 85000 on it. Anyway, I failed to have them lift it so I could look underneath, (my Bad). I noticed oil spots in the drive, removed all the cowling and it was cover in oil and dirt, also oil all over ever thing underneath. I look more to see if it was the CV joint were it entered the trans, though it had a drop on oil on it and the CV boot was covered with oil and dirt. I cleaned it up but I do not see if it is leaking from there. Above it is an electrical plug attached to a component in the engine, it may be coming from there but I have search the internet and cannot find what it is, if there anyone that has had a leak at that location and found the cause or know that that plug is, by the way it is the drivers side US. Thanks!! "IF THERE IS ONE THING I CANNOT STAND, IT IS AN OIL LEAK"

 

Take it to the car wash and spray it clean and see if you can find it.
