Crv wont start / no green key light
#11
If you are just looking for the green light then put aluminum foil around the key
that does not go into the ignition lock and try starting the engine.
This will prevent the immobilizer from reading the key.
See if this turns on the green immobilizer light??

Well, the first thing most people do is to check all the fuses
This can be done relatively quickly with a test light.
Black clip to ground. Preferably the battery negative post.
Each fuse has two test points. One above each blade or leg.
Touch probe to each test point.
If only one side lights up then fuse is blown
If both sides light up then fuse is good
If no lights then there is no power to the fuse.
Next thing is to plug in a scanner or code reader.
With the code reader plugged into the data link connector (DLC), try starting the engine
If it starts then you have a bad ground somewhere.
Read the diagnostic trouble code (DTC)
If there is a code then this will give you a place to begin you troubleshooting.
If there is no code then we must do some old fashion troubleshooting
