Default Wire harness

Squirrel bit off a connector. Is it industry standard to replace entire engine wiring harness instead of simple repair of 2 wires?

Yes. $2500 total price. My daughter has car in KY. Otherwise I would have fixed myself. They claimed repair is not allowed. Car in limp mode. Couldn’t bring it home.

The only reason it couldn't be done is because they either don't know how to do a proper repair or they do know how (and they do) but they want to make more money than an hour of labor time.

Thx. Sad that you can no longer trust people to do the right thing. You are at their mercy if you can’t do it yourself.
