2007 Honda Ridgeline, transmission problem after installing Neutral Safety Switch
Hello,
I have a 2007 Honda Ridgeline, it has 252,000 miles. I was having trouble with the neutral safety switch, occasionally I would have to start it in neutral because it wouldn't start in park. It was running and shifting perfect, no issues with the transmission, no code lights on the dash. I decided to get the neutral safety switch fixed, now it won't go into reverse. It will go into park but when it's shifted to reverse, neutral, and drive it goes forward. My mechanic installed an aftermarket switch, and then ordered a honda part, the same issue happened with both parts. He has tried unplugging the battery to try to reset the system, reading the codes and clearing them, resetting the transmission, nothing has worked. So, I am reaching out with the hope that somebody has had the same problem and has an answer for us. I would love to get my truck back working again.
