I have a 2000 accord V6, the OBD says it has low restricted egr flow, I removed the valve and the port to vacuum is plugged with carbon can it be cleaned with carb cleaner to free it up? if not how many hours does it take to rnr the intake and clean the vacuum port / ports, should the port have vaccume at idle.Thanks in advance John

 

The best way to remove the carbon is with a drill. The official Honda repair recommends drilling the passage larger and installing a steel sleeve in the Manifold that is meant to prevent future buildup.

Honda flat rate is 1.5 hours, so depending on your skill level and available tools it will probably take you about three hours. Make sure to clear all debris out of the intake after you drill and good luck.
