Default 2000 J30A1 Auto; mildly cooked Tfluid

Got caught in a time constraint and didn’t have the money to make a long distance move the right way by renting a truck and hauling the car. BIL welded a hitch, and I dragged about 1600-2k from KY to LA on a three-day 4h-4h-6h trip. Kept my speed and RPMs low, and had a Bluetooth OBD reader to watch my temps. I didn’t get her too hot n bothered, but I definitely cooked my fluid. It’s not as black as I’ve seen some get online, but it definitely smells burnt. No slippage or trouble since the move, but I want to provide the best I can to my baby. Any recommended steps? Main concern, Trans Fluid: full bore flush, or a drain-n-fill?

The best would be a complete flush and refill at a Honda Dealership or a shop that you know that uses Honda fluid only. if you're going to do it, it would be drain and replenish the fluid with Honda fluid only, they drive it a week and drain it and refill, done 3 times. if you take it to a transmsision shop that does honda only fluid, be prepared to hear the you need to overhaul your transmission soon or some kind of selling point.

Thanks for the reply, I think I’ll go the DIY route: this car’s been sustained by me for this long, I think I’ll keep wrenching until I hit a wall I cannot surmount. I know a shop would try to tell me what I already know about worn clutching surfaces and the risk of heating the Tfluid into a varnish, and honestly, if if that’s the case, I’ll source a J32 manual transmission for a conversion before I let somebody sell me on a rebuild of a not-yet-smoked-out transmission. 800 mildly spicy miles on a 73k transmission isn’t the same as 10k on already torched fluid in an already hooned out 200k transmission.
