This Accord has ~164K miles and is probably due for some new brakes.

The ride is firm so, the braking shudder in the pedal isn't noticeable unless the road is smooth (pretty rare where I live). The obvious things like lug nut tightness, shocks/struts, brake fluid levels, etc. all seem ok.

What else should I look for when I replace the rotors and pads? Also, what rotors and pads, vendors, etc. are recommended? I'm not looking for boy racer brakes but, I want to put solid reliable brakes on this car at a reasonable price. I want value, not cheapness.

Any special gotcha's on a rotor and pad swap on the 2007 Accord SE V6?

 

welcome to the forum. on my accord, I used benbro slotted/w holes rotors and thermal quiet brake pads, purchased out of ebay but local. brake pads at a local automotive brake shop. lasted 90k with no brake vibration.
