Good morning all. Been awhile since I have posted,so hopefully I am asking this in the proper forum. My Accord Sports Hybrid, I am told by the service Dept. is full synthetic, that all the new ones come with that.

Now the other day, I accidentally brought up, the engine oil life gauge and it was 40%. Now this car has only 2,100 miles, so how can it only be at 40% since you should get 7,500-10,000 miles out of full synthetic???

I don't bother with calculated crap like range and oil life. Just do regular changes and don't even bother with it.

 

I agree. We are both retired, so not a whole lot of driving, maybe 3,500 per yr. on this car. So since FULL synthetic them saying 7,500-10,000, once every other year ought to be fine, IMO, right(??)

 

I just do oil every 5K. Sometimes that is near a year.
