Default Ignition switch replacement 1995 Accord

My 1995 Honda Accord SE dash gauges started jumping off and on and then the engine died. I determined it is the ignition switch. If I hold the key in one exact position the engine runs and everything is normal. Do I need the whole switch and wiring harness or just the cylinder and/or the electrical switch mechanism? I have seen warnings about trying to replace it due to setting off the airbag. Is this something I can do myself or should I have a qualified mechanic replace it? I am pretty handy with tools but have never tried this particular job before. Thanks for your advice.

If the switch is bad just replace it. No need for everything else.
