Spoiler and Trunk Question

Hi, I am planning to install the deck lid lip spoiler with 3M tape. Will I be required to reinforce the trunk with heavy duty springs for this? Car is a 2010 Accord sedan.

If you are attaching the spoiler with tape then doubt it will do anything but look pretty.
