Wink longevity of 2010 Civic timing belt

Hello, My 2010 Civic LX has 16,xxx miles on it, and I'd like to know the longevity of a 2010 Civic timing belt (on a 2010 Civic). I think the belt is out of warranty and would like to know if someone has experienced a situation similar to mine with low miles on a six-year-old Civic.

All opinions are welcomed.

Default a maintenance sub-item

After Symbol 2, under Maintenance Sub-Items, in the Maintenance Minder, there is an item: Inspect drive belt.

Does this refer to the timing chain?

If so, does anyone know at what mileage this should be done?

Drive belt would be your fan belt, your timing chain is good for another 100K

Default low-mileage conundrum

Since I drive few miles (not a complaint), I probably won't see the dealer for another six months. One of his service managers doesn't think I need a yearly oil change, but a yearly oil change is what is mentioned in my manual, so I aim for a yearly oil change. When I visit the dealer, I'll inquire whether I have a timing chain or a belt and whether time (as well as mileage) helps decide when its replacement is truly needed.

yes time and or mileage dictates when the timing belt/chain needs to be replaced. time and or mileage also dictates when the oil needs to be changed. depending on what oil you use determines when by the manufactures suggestion conventional/synthetic. conventional is usually around 3,000-4,000 miles synthetic can last 10,000-15,000 miles.
