Honda Civic 1998 Turtle crawl " HELP"
Hello,
Here is my problem and i hope some one can help me that has had the similar problem. I have a 1998 Honda civic DX, and one day i was driving it and all of a sudden it didnt want to go. The engine light came on and i had my foot down all the way on the accelerator and it was barely moving. I puuled over and I turned it off and waited for a while and turned it back on. The engine light was off but when i put it in drive it barely was moving with my foot all the way down on the accelerator. As it picked up speed about half a blockthen it shifts and continues normal acceleration, until i come to a stop sign or a stop light. Then the process starts all over again with a crawl at first and then it picks up speed then it shifts to normal acceleration. " Can some one here HELP me please i dont want to crawl like a turtle anymore. Thanks for anyone that can help in advance.

welcome to the forum. Check to see if your exhaust system is flowing good, clear path, sometimes the cat fails and cloggs the system. Also check your fuel path and fuel pressure is good at the rail.

to check fuel flow, need a pressure guage to attatch to the fuel rail, the fuel rail has a fitting that has a platic/rubber cap that looks like one on the tire. Need to read the service manual, hynes, chilton, factory, or at the local library on what the actual pressure should be on your car, Last numbers I read were approx 28 lbs. Also did you check your fuel filter first or change it. Normally fuel filter don't need change for far over 130k. miles.
