I am a newbie on the forum. Looking for quick suggestion on timing belt replacement. I acquired this vehicle in summer 2021 at 53k kilometers from a senior owner, it had spent last decade in garage most of the times, it is like brand new and has never seen winter before. This is the first winter I am driving it in and temperatures are frigid this year in Toronto. Previous owner was not sure about if the timing belt was ever replaced during 16 years of their ownership. How much is the labor cost to replace the belt? I found a kit on amazon that would arrive for about $270 or so. Is timing belt time interval as critical as mileage interval? Please enlighten with your knowledge and experience. Also, I feel that driver side rear tire has hard knocking noise when it goes in the large potholes. Do these 2005 Pilots tend to have stiff suspension or this is an isolated case and I will have to get it looked at. I am on a budget for the minute and wondering what would be cost to get the suspension fixed for one tire if/when that is needed to be replaced. TIA all.
